SOMC-SOCP provides manpower and computing services to the US army Corp of Engineers-Ordinance Program Division.
As and EDP Systems Analyst, I am responsible for analysing and advising on current and future planned applications undertaken by directorate. I have
performed maintenance on the SMI (stock Management Inventory) Systems in an OS/390, CICS, DB2, COBOL, and VSAM environment. I have also dealt with Y2K
issues.
I started work on Visual Age & Visual Gen project a month ago for redesigning
SMI systems.

I am contracted out to the Department of Transportation to work on a Year 2000
Compliance Registration Redesign System. I have assisted in the analysis &
Construction (Unit Design, Construction, and Testing), System Testing, User

Computer Systems Specialist
Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc (TAI), Ankara, Turkey
TAI is an aerospace company headquartered in
Ankara, Turkey. It is strategically focused on providing products and services
to the aerospace, defense and information systems markets. I was primarily
involved in the development and support of systems in conjunction with the
manufacturing of the F-16 aircraft.
For the first eight years at TAI I wrote
over 300 IMS programs, both batch and online IMS/DC on the Data Collection,
Payroll, Labor Account, Online Tables, Work Order and MRP Systems. In addition
I modified a Series of TELON programs for interfaces to MRP II, TOOLWIP and
FABWIP Systems running in an IMS environment.
More recently, I did design, planning,
implementing and managing of new systems using both IMS DB/DC and DB2/CICS. I
was Team Leader for Bank, Cash and Budget Systems for a major iron and steel
contract. In addition, I maintained a cloned MRP II, Data Collection, Work
Order, and Online Table Systems, and was responsible for training new hires.
